My first camera at aged 8 " a Kodak Brownie" was the start of a long & successful interest in photography. Then only having a 12exp black-and-white, 127 roll film. (my pocket money would not stretch for colour film at that time) later things progressed to colour prints , transparencies would then follow on from that in the 1970s for the next 20 years, then devoloping my own films and prints soon after I joined the Ipswich and district photographic Society. and been an active member of the society for nearly 25 years.
As technology progressed I soon switched over from film cameras to digital, taking mainly DPI's and sometimes a few prints.
I enjoy all types of photography but my main interest in photography has always been wildlife, of all descriptions birds mammals insects, and what I find most challenging is that you never know what pictures you're going to get on the day and when the situation arrives more times than not you have something completely different what you had set out to get.
Entering British photographic exhibitions allows me to set the bar to achieve good standards ,and had many successful awards throughout the years.in the British circuit have now had over 300 acceptances and now gained my BPE 5 star rating .
In 1996 I was awarded my Distinction of the photographic Alliance of Great Britain, ( DPAGB ).

I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures on the site and please feel free to make any comments (above ).
